Great News! The Aldeburgh Lifeboat Guild 2026 Street Fair and Open Day raised £1,850 to contribute to crew training, equipment and running costs for RNLI lifeboat stations. Thank you to everyone who helped and came along to support the station. Well done Aldeburgh!

Training goes on afoot with our dedicated boat and shore crew; especially for the new recruits that have joined us over the past few weeks. Not just feet but for our head we now have new Mantra helmets; very different from the old Gecko’s. Service calls are recorded on the notice board next to the shop, social media and the website. For January, February and March the Boathouse will be open to the public only on: Saturday January 31st, February 28th and March 14th, 21st and 28th Do drop by and learn about the history of lifeboats at Aldeburgh and check out Ralph, the Atlantic 85 ILB.
The annual RNLI QUIZ will take place at the Old Generator Station on 13th March. Please note the new start time; it offers the opportunity to have dinner beforehand with your fellow competitors. We look forwards to seeing you. Booking details on the poster attached.
This morning, the crew and friends met at the Lifeboat memorial at St Peter and Paul’s church to remember the Ther Crew then moved to Aldeburgh beach to change the acorns on Ralph, (the Atlantic 85 ILB) to a new set, which had been blessed by the station chaplain, Mary. Thanks go to all the crew, families, friends and supporters who joined us to mark this moment, and to watch
