Farewell to ‘Freddie Cooper’

It’s the end of an era. On Sunday 27th October the all-weather lifeboat ‘Freddie Cooper’ left Aldeburgh beach for the final time. Thank you to her crew, past and present, for their dedication to help provide life-saving capability on the Suffolk coast. Freddie Cooper will now head off for care and maintenance before joining the Mersey-class relief fleet.
Aldeburgh RNLI station already has both an Atlantic 85 and D-class lifeboat operational on station, and we stand ready to head to sea when needed.
