As the RNLI celebrates its 200th anniversary this year, on Saturday 5th October at 11am, David Cook takes a look back at the history of our local RNLI Aldeburgh Lifeboat station and gives an insight into the day-to-day operations, sharing stories of shouts, rescues and life outside the station.
A volunteer since the age of 17, David is currently helm of the inshore lifeboat Susan Scott and navigator for the all-weather lifeboat, the Mersey class Freddie Cooper.
