Launched to assist the fishing vessel "Charlotte E" that had a fouled propeller off Thorpeness (2 miles north of Aldeburgh). The vessel was towed back to Aldeburgh.

Diverted from exercise to stand by the motor cruiser "Daydreamer III" that had broken down 7 miles south of Aldeburgh. The ILB stood by until the arrival of the ALB.

Launched to Search for overdue yacht "Tuila". Searched with various other lifeboats between Great Yarmouth and Harwich with nothing found. Yacht found broken up and bodies of 4 of the crew were discovered later.

Launched to assist the yacht "Sarky" that had run aground on Aldeburgh beach having run out of fuel. The ILB refuelled the yacht and towed it off the beach. Having paid for the fuel the yacht resumed passage!.

Launched to assist a windsurfer that had been reported to be in trouble 1 mile south of Aldeburgh. The windsurfer made it to the shore unaided.

Diverted from exercise following a report of a yacht aground on the Aldeburgh Ridge (2.5 miles south east of Aldeburgh). The yacht got clear of the bank itself and after checking for damage, resumed passage. The ILB resumed exercise.

Launched to search with Aldeburgh ALB and Southwold lifeboat for a missing jetskier off Dunwich ( 7 miles north of Aldeburgh). Jetskier was found safe and well on the beach having made his own way to the shore.

Launched into the River Alde following a report of red flares in the Orford area. A thorough search of the river was made with nothing further seen or found.

Launched to assist the yacht "Barnsby" that had run aground at the entrance to the River Ore. With assistance from Aldeburgh ALB and Harwich ILB, the yacht was towed off the shingle bank.
