Aldeburgh Lifeboat Station launched the RNLI’s Inshore Lifeboat ‘Christine’ to a report of a swimmer, in difficulty, off the shore north of Aldeburgh. The RNLI ILB ‘Christine’ was launched at 12.15, at the request of Thames Coastguard, to a report of a swimmer in difficulty 200 metres off shore.

Once on scene, an independent witness reported that the swimmer had safely got to shore with no assistance. The ILB was stood down and returned to station, with the local Coastguard team continuing to search for the casualty, to ensure they did not require medical attention. The ILB ‘Christine’ returned to station at 13.00.

Aldeburgh Lifeboat Station launched the RNLI’s Inshore Lifeboat ‘Christine’ to a report of three people in an inflatable boat, in difficulty, at the entrance of the River Ore. The RNLI ILB ‘Christine’ was launched at 15.28, at the request of Thames Coastguard and arrived on scene at 15.59.

Three people, in an inflatable boat, were on a sand bank at the mouth of the river. They were taken on board the ILB and the inflatable was towed alongside to shore near Shingle Street, where they were met by the Coast Guard. The ILB ‘Christine’ returned to station at 17.10.
